I am Ellen Louise the founder, maker and face behind The Fancy Hatband Company. I have ridden all my life and still do most days. ⁣ I setup The Fancy Hatband Company in 2020 over lockdown when I found myself without a job. I came up with the idea of my Equestrian Hatbands when I started playing polo and noticed that polo players have really fancy Argentinian Hatbands on their polo helmets! I suddenly realised nothing like that existed for Riding Hats and that was how The Fancy Hatband Company was born. ⁣ I previously studied fashion and textiles where I enjoyed designing, creating and sewing. After years of losing Hat Silks in trees, I decided to design Fancy elasticated Equestrian Hatbands to keep on riding hat silks whilst also adding a pop of colour .
